I have copious amounts of notes on what to do but the one mantra that I will now chant to myself is 'make it fun'. Tim gave lots of advice but two things that really stuck with me are: do what I'm comfortable in doing and enjoy myself. This is basic common sense but has changed my perception completely and I am now looking forward to marketing and I already have lots of ideas which I never had before. I also now feel less bothered that I am not the world's greatest twitter and facebook user! It was an inspiring two days and despite the tiredness (the workshop started at 6 p.m. and finished at 1 a.m. my time) left me feel motivated by marketing.
The other great thing about this week is that I finished the second book in the 'Adventures of Eric and Ursula'. I am really pleased with the first draft of 'Survival Instinct' and I feel it really develops the characters, one in particular, while maintaining the exciting adventure from the first book. There are plot twists, some highs and lows, and I feel it will be a page-turner just like the first book.
